City Clerk

The city clerk’s office, staffed by the city clerk and two deputies, performs critical administrative functions pertaining to city government. Functions include administration of Watonga’s municipal court system and city council operations as well as sales tax collections.

The city clerk produces city council agendas and ensures they are posted on the door of the Watonga City Hall and accessible to the public. Access the agenda online.  The office manages a variety of other public records and makes them available to patrons upon request.

The city clerk ensures city operations remain in compliance with city, state and federal laws, and serves as a public information resource for city code enforcement. Developers report to the city clerk’s office to obtain building permits, and contractors obtain licenses to perform electrical work, plumbing work and other trades.

More information about licensing, code enforcement, city council schedules and municipal court operations can be obtained by calling the city clerk’s office at 580-623-4669.
